The Adventures of Copper Coyote is a series of short stories about a very special coyote and her animal friends. The stories are nonviolent, educational and amusing, and are set in the Southwest USA. The stories teach friendship, teamwork, diversity, and the importance of family. The characters at first glance seem like very unlikely friends. But each has a unique talent and they soon learn that when they work as a team they can overcome any obstacle. They also have a lot of fun together! The characters are cute and adorable; your children will love them. The stories are written so that children ages 9 thru12 will enjoy reading them over and over, but parents will also enjoy reading them to the younger children in the family. The younger children will be able to follow along by seeing the wonderful original artwork and photography included on every page. Each story contains questions at the end of the text which parents can use to ensure that the children understand the story. The season is early fall. A coyote is looking at a newly formed moon, in the multi-colored twilight of a setting sun. Motionless, looking toward the starlit sky, she ponders her night's activity and what Mother Nature has planned for her.

This coyote is a fully grown female with a lean and toned body. Her coat has many shades of copper, along with beige and a hint of white. Her name is Copper.

Copper Coyote is very special; she is a gentle, fun-loving, inquisitive creature of the desert southwest. She was separated from her family when she was very young. Our coyote has made many friends in the mountains and surrounding desert. As her mind wanders, she recalls the memories of her adventurous life.
